In 1976, I made the decision to keep my name closely associated with my real estate company. I wanted people to hold me accountable. Accountable for the way people representing me treated both buyers and sellers. Accountable for our ethics and honesty. And for the way our firm responded to the long term needs of our community.
Today, almost twenty-five years later, accountability is more important than ever. We expect to be called after a transaction is signed if something is not clear, or an obligation is not met. We want to be contacted after the transaction is closed if there is unfinished business. We believe we set a standard for performance and accountability that will make the buyer and seller glad they had a real estate agent involved.
With more and more people accessing real estate information electronically, the process of buying or selling a home is changing rapidly. One thing, however, has not changed; the need to find someone who is willing to be accountable.
